About Doug

Doug was born and raised in Plano, Texas where he learned the meaning of helping others through his involvement in the Boy Scouts of America.  He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and continues to volunteer his time whenever he can.
Doug attended Texas A&M University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy.  Doug joined Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity and quickly emerged as a leader after a few short
months.  He was president of his chapter and still volunteers with Sigma Alpha Mu at the National level.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors known as the Octagon.
After his short, but cherished time in Aggieland, Doug moved to Lubbock, Texas to study the practice of law at Texas Tech University, School of Law.  During his third year in law school, Doug began practicing law under the supervision of Professor Larry Spain.  He learned how to handle divorces, estate planning, and even branched out into criminal law by the end of his time at Texas Tech.
Doug fell in love with the Texas Hill Country while interning at David K. Sergi & Associates, P.C. in the summer of 2011.  Doug finished his law degree in 2012 and passed the Texas Bar Examination on his first attempt.  He promptly returned to the Texas Hill Country to open his practice after receiving his license.  Today, Doug has several primary focuses that can be found under the Legal Services tab.
However, the listed services are not the only areas that Doug can handle.  Please contact us to discuss your unique legal problems.
